Wheat Bags

I began making wheat bags for my family to soothe aches and pains. I like to use them for shoulder tension and abdominal cramps. My son enjoys using one to comfort him at bedtime. I've made different sizes and different styles, but the ones on this page have the features I have added to make them the best.

Chambers for Even Distribution

A traditional wheat bag has all the wheat in one large chamber. I add chambers in a grid pattern so the wheat stays more evenly distributed.

Removable Covers

Sometimes life gets in the way and the wheat bag might get dirty. I sew a removable, washable cover so surface soiling can be washed up easily.

Products

Shoulder Wrap

  • The Shoulder Wrap covers the shoulders, the upper back, and may wrap around to the front of the shoulders depending on the size of the person. It can also be used on the abdominal area or laid on the back in either direction.
  • 26" x 9"
  • 12 chambers in a 4xc grid
  • $35

Small Shoulder Wrap

Large Square

  • The Large Square is nice to use on the abdominal area or on any area of your back. It is nice to use to warm your feet!
  • 15" x 11"
  • 9 chambers in a 3x3 grid
  • $25

Small Square

  • The Small Square is more compact for directed tension relief, or for children's owies.
  • 9" x 9"
  • 4 chambers in a 2x2 grid
  • $15

Customized Weighted Blankets

  • I was asked to make a custom weighted blanket. The blanket is 10% the weight of the person and is used for calming purposes (not to be used for sleeping). The inner blanket is made with 4"x4" squares for an even distribution of wheat. The outer cover uses buttons instead of Velcro.
  • 32" x 36"
  • 72 chambers in a 8x9 grid
  • $125
